Frequently Asked Questions

I am a WSDA licensed cottage food producer in Bothell, Washington.

Items produced in my home kitchen may have contact with common allergens such as tree nuts, peanuts, eggs, soy, wheat, milk, etc.

Question: How much notice do you need for a cookie order?

My desire is to accommodate your order. Please note that availability is subject to change at a moment's notice. Four-Six weeks ahead of the event will give us time to communicate the details of the order and look for the best availability. I recommend getting your order(s) in early around holiday time frames as my calendar can fill up quickly.
I occasionally can fit in orders with less notice, so please feel free to submit an order form if there is less than Four-Six weeks before your event and I will do my best to assist you.

Question: Can I get Almond Extract Free cookies?

Yes! I can leave out Almond Extract in my Vanilla/Almond Sugar cookies. If you are wanting Almond extract-free cookies due to allergies, please note that I only use Cooks Almond Extract which is an Allergen Free Extract. See the link below.

"Cook’s Pure Almond Extract is made from the pits of peaches and apricots, which contains the flavor component also found in bitter almonds. It does not contain any of the proteins found in nuts that cause allergic reactions. All of Cook’s products and the facilities are completely allergen free!" - Cooks Almond Extract

Question: How long will the cookies stay fresh?

Each of my cookies comes individually heat-sealed to protect my work and to help maintain freshness. While any homemade product is at peak freshness when consumed right away, decorated sugar cookies will stay fresh for up to two weeks (some say longer!) if stored in an airtight container.

Question: Do the cookies need to be refrigerated?

Condensation and cookies are not friends! Please DO NOT REFRIGERATE your cookies.
Cookies freeze wonderfully. They can be frozen before or after your event for up to 3 months.
Simply stand them upright in an airtight, freezer-safe container to protect the decorations. Place the container in the freezer. Remove them from the freezer the night before you want to consume them. LEAVE THE LID ON while your cookies are warming up to room temperature (at least 4-8 hours) to avoid condensation build-up. It’s tempting to open the lid to check on them but leave the lid on. I've had customers tell me the cookies taste even better after they've been frozen!

Question: Can you ship cookies?

Washington State Cottage Food Laws prohibit me to ship cookies. They are available for local pickup only.

Question: Do you offer vegan or Gluten Free options?

I do not offer a vegan option, but I do offer a Gluten Sensitive option that uses Gluten free. While I take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination, gluten items do get baked in the same kitchen. (not intended for Celiacs ). If you need a gluten-sensitive option there is an up-charge of $8/dozen. Please specify your need on the Custom Order Form.
